Can AI audit software adapt to a firm's methodology?

Implementation, security and integration · last updated 2026-09-02

Yes. Purpose-built AI audit software should be configurable to the firm's methodology rather than forcing every firm into a generic control library, risk model or review process.

Relevant configuration can include control language, risk classifications, evidence requirements, complexity criteria, assessment questions, review and approval steps, reporting formats and regional standards. The aim is to standardise execution while preserving the firm's professional approach and differentiation.

There are sensible limits. A vendor should not claim to “automatically comply” with every methodology simply because it can import a template. The firm needs to test how its requirements have been translated into the workflow and validate the resulting outputs.

Platformed capability: Platformed configures ITGC, process and control workflows around the firm's audit approach. Auditors see familiar language and outputs, with evidence and judgement remaining visible, rather than a parallel methodology inside a new tool.
